Spencer's Baptism

Spencer was baptised on Saturday, May 2nd. We had a great day with lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He asked Grandpa to baptise him - they had done lots of practicing so he felt pretty comfortable. We are just glad Grandpa didn't say his name as "red cheeks Sheets".

Spencer and Stockton are pretty good friends - a little crazy together, but Spencer wanted to make sure Stockton got in a shot.

Spencer was a little nervous his dad would feel bad about asking Grandpa to baptise him. I heard him asking Sophia about a week before his baptism if Grandpa could and Sophia said no. She told him Dad would feel bad. Michael talked to Spencer and told him it was okay. Spencer decided he need to pray about it - (I promise he said this). He is kind of a sensitive kid. He was glad that his dad could confirm him. Both Grandpa and his Dad could have a part.
We are sure proud of Spencer and the good decision he made.

Oops - one more

This one is fun for keeping those cute ribbon headbands in. The ribbon bugged Syd though and she yanked it out - well I had to help her because it was stuck in there.
It would be cute all curled in the back or in piggies again.

Hair Do pictures for Ashley

Just so everyone knows - I dindn't make up any of these hairstyles. I have totally copied them from other people. I am not that creative. This one is easy with two rows of puffy braids as I believe some people call them. I then just joined them with crooked part piggies. Sydney is not the best model. I literally have to chase her around the house.
Piggies with puffy braids.

This was Sophia's valentine day hair do. I kind of looks like a heart right?

This hair do turned out so pretty and is so fast and easy. Just twists on the side joined in a side messy bun.

This is the messy bun. It's cute with a flower thrown in there too.

San Diego Temple

We went to the San Diego temple on our last day there - it was closed. We still got a pretty good look though. This is Grandpa telling Stockton and Spencer their 4,954th story.
Such a beautiful temple!

This is the view from our motel room. We stayed at the Catamaran in San Diego and it was so close to the beach. We were a little bummed though because it rained the last two days so the kids didn't see the beach much. Overall though, we couldn't complain about the weather on our trip it was great!

Lego Land Fun

This is how our day started going to Lego Land. Syndey had a fever and didn't feel very good. She wanted to just lay down with her binky and blanket. It was actually an easier day because she wanted to stay in her stroller for once.
The kids had fun playing with Legos. There were lots of playground stuff for the kids to play on. Sophia and Spencer were a little big for things though.

So many cool things to look at. Everything is made out of Legos - I guess thats why they call it Lego Land. This is the minature lego version on Hollywood.

By the time we were about finished it had started to rain. We were running to get out, but we had to get a picture with Elvis!

More Fun

We got to go to SeaWorld and see Shamu - or Shampoo as Grandpa called him.
We were able to "Dine with Shamu" when we were there and get a really close look at him.

This was our lunch buffet - lots of good food

Jedi Training

This was really cool for the boys. They had a Jedi training show that we went to. They picked kids out of the audience and they got to participate in the show. The boys loved it and we thought it was so cool to watch
Stockton was a little nervous - he kind of thought it was real.

Spencer was ready.

In the middle of the show as they are training them, a ship thing comes out from the ground and Darth Vader comes out. It was awesome. Then each jedi in training had to fight.

This is Spencer with dart mal - no idea how to spell it or if this is the right name. He was scary though and Spencer did great.

Stockton was the last one to go and did great fighting Darth Vadar. For some reason it gave me a big lump in my throat watching the boys go up against these scary guys.

Having fun on the Rides

Sydney really liked the teacup ride - mostly because she didn't have to sit in her stroller and got to be by Grandma and Grandpa.
You have to do the teacup ride in Disneyland - so Sophia told us. I don't know why she said this but it was fun.

Now the Toy Mania ride was one of our faves. It was fun competing for the highest score. Grandpa and the kids placed bets and there was money won and lost. This game could be a little addictive. We had so much fun with Grandma & Grandpa. We were so glad that he came with us. Grandpa probably told 5000 stories and was great to entertain the kids.

Character Breakfast

Double click on this picture to make it bigger - you can see Sydney's reaction a little better.

We had a character breakfast at the Storybook Cafe our first morning there. It was really fun. The food was great and the kids loved seeing the characters and getting their autographs. Sydney was so scared of these characters though and panicked. She would really tense up when they would come around.

Pixar Parade

We had fun at the Pixar Parade. We loved seeing all the characters. Sydney even stayed pretty still as they came down the line.

Disneyland

Our family got to go to Disneyland! We surprised the kids at Christmas and had them open presents leading up to the surprise. We have the tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve and so this was the present. Syndey got a pair of Minnie Mouse pajamas, then Stockton got an airplane -none of the kids were thinking anything yet. Spencer opened a Disneyland brochure that was kind of like a book. It was so funny to see his face. He was a little confused and tried to be nice saying "oh thanks, a book". Sophia was a little confused at his present and said, "are we going to Disneyland or something?" Sophia then was ready to open hers and it was our travel plans. At first she looked at it and saw it was paper and tried not to look disappointed. We told her to read it and she got about one line in and started to get pretty excited. Then we told them that Grandma and Grandpa Baldwin were coming too! They were pretty funny - well Sydney really didn't know what was going on. Sophia wanted to call Grandpa & Grandma right that second. She called and they were right in the middle of doing their nativity with the other cousins there, so they said they would call back. Sophia kept saying I need to call someone and tell them.

Sophi's Dos

I found this one of Sophia. It's not fancy but was easy. Her hair was all curled in the back and pretty for church. We have done some fun twists that I'll have to take a picture of.

This is for my sister Ashley

Okay Ash, here are some pictures of Sydney's hair dos. It is really hard to get a picture because she just starts running away. By the way the 1st and 3rd pictures are the same do. We are working on some more. With Syd I have to be moving pretty fast. Sophia has lots more fun ones. I'll have to get some pictures of hers.

Purple Pancakes

You know how we all love our purple pancakes - well Stockton and Sydney love, love, love the syrup. We had extra syrup in the fridge and somehow Sydney magically opened the fridge (are you sure Stockton) and this was the result. Oh happy day!! I was pretty impressed that I remained calm enough to take this picture.
